Meridian Fennel, Roland Glenbrook, Felix Hugo Fraldarius, Kim Dokja
A suite is typically made of 3-4 different rooms. Those characters will be expected to share a comfortable living space, including a lounge (outfitted with a seating area, a television, and other common appliances), kitchen, and one bathroom.
There are books strewn all over the suite at all times. Books in the kitchen, books in the living space, books in the BATHROOM (you will always have reading material when you're going number two). Also it's usually some kind of fantasy novel.
Dokja's castmates, Han Sooyoung and later Yoo Joonghyuk, will probably barge in without notice every now and then. Sorry about them.
Dokja himself is not around all that much? He mostly just comes home to sleep but even then he doesn't seem to sleep much.
He weirdly never cooks either.
He will steal food from the fridge, especially if it's marked as belonging to Felix.
The inside of his room is more books. Piles of books everywhere, but it's an organized sort of chaos.
Dokja frequently has nightmares :( There might be some late night screamies if he is 1) home and 2) managed to fall asleep.
He tries not to get in people's way! He mostly sticks to his room, he'll make small talk with the other roomies to get to know them, and he doesn't take too long in the bathroom. Other than his books kind of getting everywhere, he's not a bad roommate.
He will ask that people take off their shoes at the entrance, though. :x
gets up at dawn to go for a run first, then comes back to get swords
goes to train in the training hall with both swords in tow, then comes back and showers.
specifically locks his room door any time he's not in it
fridge is full of cheese, salami and other meat products. usually eats this with some kind of french loaf as a sandwich.
about midway through this rooming assignment, all his food starts going in a fridge safe because dokja is a menace. actively tries to catch people stealing his food before this.
hangs out in the lounge polishing his swords with sword oil every night
can be coerced into watching something if you turn on the tv, but will loudly point out all the ways in which the show/movie is stupid. (every show/movie is stupid.)
if you see his room, you'll see it's barren, save for a few books at his bedside table and like. a glass of nightwater.
[felix frowns. he is mid-taking his shoes off, which he has already conceded to dokja. why does he have to be the seeker, too.]
How should I know where your nonsense-sounding book is? Why don't you check your bathroom pile, then take them all out before I point the shower at them.
[it's QUEST TIME wow roland is such a reliable quest buddy. anyway buzen is using this camera that he's been given - though "using" is still, in and of itself, a rather generous term. rather, he's turning it over in his hands a few times before taking a few bad pictures of... the ground... a tree... a cat....
each of them come out 0 for some reason.
when he sees roland, he waves in his friendly way but also laughs slightly]
Ro-san... have you done this quest already? I don't know if I'm understanding it right.
Roland blinks at the wave and nickname, the latter of which is most curious as he draws closer. It's something to investigate, but his attention goes foremost to the camera after Buzen.]
Ah, is this for Lila? What's the matter?
[Compared to his usual self, he looks and sounds much livelier.]
A suite is typically made of 3-4 different rooms. Those characters will be expected to share a comfortable living space, including a lounge (outfitted with a seating area, a television, and other common appliances), kitchen, and one bathroom.
Bricks is generally very respectful of other's people's shared spaces but he's also a scatterbrained inventor type so apologies if once in a while something very esoteric gets borrowed... like idk the TV remote's circuit board (and he'll explain he rigged the xbox controller to serve as a substitute, totally fine). He'll fix it... eventually.
alsooooooo his room is often going to be a hotbox. SORRY, NODDLES. AND KAITO. (He will offer to share!)
[Early May, Roland walks into the suite with a bouquet of yellow carnations, evergreen clematises, cyclamens, orange lilies, marigolds, and dark crimson roses in his arms. The colors are vibrant and abundant. He wanders into the heart of the lounger, where he shows the flowers off to present suitemates.]
I found this bouquet sitting in front of our door. It must be addressed to someone in the suite, though I've yet to spot any sign of the sender . . . Could it be yours?
[Without much warning, V chooses to text a certain familiar face and name when he goes through the list of, ah, Love Love Matching ambassadors. Should this more embarrassing? Probably. But not for a man like him. That promised reward of a month's chocolates is... tempting.]
Now, were you signed up for this program on your own accord, I wonder?
[Will either of them every be FREE of this accursed place? Maybe if Baelial World didn't be WEIRD last month, they wouldn't need help advertising...
Anyhow, the Count is out here again, unfortunately, getting hired to help this rotten establishment. He's wondering if he should do this, or torch the place considering how little he will forgive it for those animal skeletons......]
Ah--Mr. Roland... Excuse me.
[Now Roland will once again be roped into all of this, yes. If it seems like Roland always gets into some kind of drama when D is involved, it wouldn't be a wrong assessment.]
Roland's feelings toward the park are mixed. He's here, however, and cranes his neck in attention at the call of his name. His expression softens into a wan smile.]
Greetings, Count D. Are you here to partake of the park's festivities again?
How fares the pet shop? I imagine you must overjoyed to see T-chan and Pon-chan again. Has Q-chan yet to return?
It has been some time since we last spoke. I've taken to heart much of what you'd told me over the months between Crane City and Duocaeli, though I regret to inform you that I have yet to hear the voices of the plants and animals in Norzelia.
But I shan't give up just yet. After all, they are the voices you so cherish. Just because I have given up on my own life, doesn't mean the same can be said for the others. Even now, more than ever, the cries of those shoved out to the margins of this continent flood my ears.
You once asked me if I had ever loved to the extent that I couldn't separate myself from that which I treasure. Now that I have returned to myself, I can say that I have—and that I know what lies before me.
I am Glenbrook's spear. This is the promise entrusted to me by my dearest brother in an act of cruel kindness. When I begged for the escape of death, he bade me to watch over our home instead. My life has since persisted for that purpose, and it shall end the day Glenbrook's people smile as one.
Until then, I will crawl forward on my hands and knees if I must.
Apologies, Count D. I know how much the weight of a life means to you. In fact, it was you who impressed that even I had some measure of worth left . . . which is why I shall strive to hear the voice of the world before my time comes to an end. If I ever should hear it, I pray the song will be one of joyous hope and not abject despair.
And I hope that you, more than anyone else, will be there to hear it, too.
Count D
Are you safe? Last I heard, your world was not so peacable, though I suppose that could be said of any. I know that you're in good hands, but I cannot help worrying as a friend.
I am sorry, Fukawa. I foolishly believed we would have more time. In thinking so, I failed to deliver on our promise of friendship. There is still much that I have yet to learn about you as a person—you and Genocider Syo both.
What are your favorite foods? What sorts of books have you written? If there is aught you could tell me, what would it be?
I prefer salted foods. I am no writer, but a warrior who learned from the finest in the kingdom. Most of all, I am a weak man who succumbed to his cowardice. I cut out a piece of myself, thinking it best for the kingdom, and lost everything as the result of my sin.
Official reports state that I "left to live a life of seclusion." And I prayed that it would be so, knowing how cruel the alternative can be. The days when I could laugh among trusted companions became a thing of the past, and I decided that Serenoa was to be my first and final friend . . . until you came along.
You found me at my most vulnerable during the storm. I was naïve to the ways of the world, yet you acknowledged me all the same. You admonished my faults without shaking your head. There was no sniping—only what you believed to be the truth. You were always honest with your heart, and I admired that passionate side of you.
You accepted my hand when I reached out. Now that I've remembered all of myself, the memory of that night fills me with no small amount of hope where I had thought there to be naught left.
Was I able to return even a fraction of what you gave me in those precious months? I wonder this from time to time. But this, I know: even if we never meet again, Fukawa, I will always be your friend.
Fukawa & Syo Once the ink has dried on the final dot, he gathers the scraps of parchment and, one by one, sets them alight over the candlelight till there are naught but ashes.
